The Community Development Facilitators role is to consult with the community and to provide direction and support for residents to develop and maintain ongoing community projects. The building was privately owned for 17 years until purchased by Macarthur Diversity Services in 2008. Since 2008, MDSI has been vigilant with the maintenance, refurbishment and renovation of this grand old building. We repair old trailers belonging to the members and we also repair trailers for the Men’s Shed use. We also do special projects for the SES, Housing NSW, the Campbelltown Art Gallery, Beverly Park special school and AB Central. Tabitha Hope Centre provides a home for babies and children infected and affected by HIV and AIDS. During the January school holidays, Settlement Grants Program families enjoyed a variety of outings and activities include a day trip to Kiama! Families enjoyed the opportunity to socialise and make new friends, to practice their English language skills, and learn more about the diversity of Australian geography and ecology. From 1st January 2014, parents enrolling their child in care for the first time will be excluded if they do not provide proof of the child’s vaccination status. Children who are not immunised can still attend childcare if parents can provide a form advising their objections to immunisation on personal, philosophical, religious or medical grounds. As explained on the NSW Health website, 95 per cent immunisation coverage is needed to effectively control killer scourges like measles, rubella, whopping cough, tetanus, polio and rabies.

MDSI has received funding to implement a series of art based workshops that explore how the use of imagery in the media influences beliefs, and examines the impact of the media on community views. Victoria Darragh is an award winning Executive Assistant with over 10 years' experience working in the public, not-for-profit and corporate sectors. A Fellow member of the Association of Personal Assistants as well as a member of the Institute of Professional Administrators, EUMA and the Global PA Network, Victoria regularly presents at conferences and companies across the UK and Ireland, Europe and internationally. Victoria recently won an award at the Mayfair PA Awards for 'Outstanding Contribution to the PA Profession' and has a wealth of experience in creating internal and external PA networks and  working with top companies in the UK helping them to achieve this. Few people understand the importance of looking after high-profile figures than Joan Serafini. The 19th Century Victorian house was built in 1882 and served as the residence for the Presbyterian Church Minister until it was sold in 1990. Since 2008 the building has provided a welcoming facility for MDSI’s Aged Care Services and is the venue for twelve Aged Day Care groups, two Social Support groups, three Dementia Respite groups and our Disability group. It also reflects the historical character of our local community as an early Australian country town.
