Without label support, Res is a one-woman business screening musicians, scheduling rehearsals, booking shows and pushing publicity to lift her brand new show, album and career up off the ground. As a teenager, she was already a member of the Master Plan Show on CIUT 88.5 FM - the longest running hip hop radio program in Canada. As of early 2007, Mystic was on a European tour along with fellow artists Dave Ghetto, Hezekiah and DJ Munch and working on her 2nd album. She only accepts commissions to publicize artists, books, albums and services that Tools of War truly believes are quality and authentic. She was featured on the cover of Philadelphia Weekly in which an article regarding her return to Philadelphia was highlighted. To announce that she’s home and ready to rock, Res was hosting a residency Sunday nights at Silk City she called Reset, also the name of the forthcoming album that will be ready for release this year.

Now with her major label deal to her credit, Lil’ Mama has been in and out of various recording studios in New York, Atlanta and Miami and has worked with famed producers like Swizz Beatz and Scott Storch.
In 2008, she returned to DMC USA to coordinate the DMC American Battleground and run it’s branch in the USA. Inspired by her work with the legendary Fresh Arts movement, MotionLive continues developing emerging talent in creative spaces such as Lit 4 Life, Urban Arts and the Caribbean International Literary Festival.
Her debut album, Voice of The Young People features a wide range of musical and topical issues. While she’s no stranger to the hardships of being an artist, Res is simply in love with making music.
Abiola has also given keynote addresses on empowerment at many schools such as NYU, The New School for Social Research and Howard University and for women at conferences like Single in Stilettos and the upcoming Momentum.
Res recently teamed up with Hip hop luminary and longtime friend Talib Kweli for the collaborative musical creation Idle Warship.
